Cosmetic Users Increase, Sales of Mustika Ratu (MRAT) Up 18 Percent

Cosmetic Users Increase – Jakarta, PT Mustika Ratu Tbk (MRAT) recorded net sales of Rp 166.9 billion during semesters 1-2022.

Increased sales are a positive feature of growth. Personal care products increased by Rp 147.4 billion, up 11.4% compared to semester 1-2021 worth Rp 132.3 billion.

Cosmetic products increased by Rp 29.9 billion, up 18.7% compared to last year’s Rp 25.2 billion. Herbal products and health drinks, which are one of the mainstay products, also contribute positively.

Herbal medicine and health drinks contributed revenue for the company worth Rp 22.1 billion, an increase of 11.2% by Rp 19.9 billion from the semester period 1-2021.

President Director of PT Mustika Ratu Tbk Bingar Egidius Situmorang said market conditions have not fully recovered.

Even so, the company is moving more aggressively to invest in marketing and consumer engagement activities so that sales growth can accelerate in the 2nd semester.

“This investment has more or less an impact on company profits,” he said.

To strengthen the capital structure, the company plans to divest assets in the form of land.

The proceeds will be used in the development of new products, product upgrades, expansion of export markets, and optimization of new businesses.

The supply chain and company organization are also strengthened. External conditions such as inflation to constraints in the global supply chain make the company’s performance more creative in managing operational costs worthy of appreciation.
