Indonesia Wellness and Health Tourism Expo – Medical tourism is one of Indonesia’s tourism potential asset that is still being developed. Combining the health sector with tourism, medical tourism helps people obtain health services while on vacation.
This is the reason why the Indonesian Medical Tourism Association (Perkedwi) held the Indonesia Wellness and Health Tourism Expo 2022 on March 9-13, 2022 at Kota Kasablanka Mall, Jakarta.

The opening of IWHTE was attended by the board of Directors of PT Mustika Ratu Tbk (MRAT) Mr. Bingar Egidius Situmorang (President Director) accompanied by Mrs. Kusuma Ida Anjani (Director).

Perkedwi as a medical professional organization in the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) developed the concept of Indonesian health tourism medicine into 5 pillars.

The five pillars are medical tourism, fitness Tourism, aesthetics, Anti-Aging and scientific herbal and medical scientific tourism. The latter is sports tourism that supports Health and Health Sector Support in priority and Super Priority Destinations.
In the end, the government through the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Set as a priority activity in 2022.
