Jakarta – Indonesia is again hit by grief, in early 2021 natural disasters have occurred in several areas in Indonesia, such as flash floods that hit the South Kalimantan region. The flood has hit hundreds of residents’ houses due to the overflow of the river, so that thousands of residents must evacuate to temporary shelter posts. The next disaster was followed by a landslide that hit Sumedang Regency, West Java, an earthquake in the city of Mamuju, West Sulawesi.
To ease the burden on disaster victims, PT Mustika Ratu Tbk (MRAT), as a holistic wellness company, through the Mustika Ratu Peduli program distributes humanitarian assistance to victims affected by flash floods in several areas that hit South Kalimantan.
The assistance was distributed directly by the Mustika Ratu Area Manager for the Kalimantan region, Zainal Abidin in collaboration with the Banjarmasin Police Water Police Unit to residents and volunteers who were on standby to help socially on Thursday, January 21, 2021, in the Murung Selong Village area, Sungai Lulut Village, Banjar Masin District East, Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.
The next humanitarian aid is for landslide victims in Cimanggu village, Sumedang, West Java. This disaster has recorded 40 victims who have died, and thousands of residents have taken refuge in emergency tents prepared by the BNPB. The assistance was handed over directly by the Regional Sales Manager of Mustika Ratu West Java, Ahmad Tontowi in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) on Friday, January 22, 2021.
Ahmad Tantowi explained that “Mustika Ratu distributes assistance in the form of Herbalmuno+ herbal supplements which are very suitable to increase body resistance and maintain the health of residents and volunteers during very extreme weather along with the current covid pandemic. The community must remain in good health and have strong immunity while waiting for the government’s vaccination program for the community.
Besides Herbamuno+, Mustika Ratu Peduli also distributes other health products to be used as daily necessities in the form of Soap, Shampoo and Mustika Ratu Telon Oil as well as instant noodles, dry food, clean water, baby diapers, rice, and others,” said Tantowi.
In addition to South Kalimantan and West Java, Mustika Ratu will also soon prepare aid to be distributed to victims of the earthquake in the city of Mamuju, West Sulewesi.
