Puteri Indonesia Foundation, fully supported by Mustika Ratu, held an annual event of the 24th Puteri Indonesia Pageant 2020 by raising the theme of cultural richness and natural beauty of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
Through the event of Puteri Indonesia Pageant 2020, Puteri Indonesia Foundation is ready to support the promotion of Indonesian tourism, especially the East Nusa Tenggara Province. This is in accordance with the commitment of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. Joko Widodo, and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy along with the Regional Government of East Nusa Tenggara Province to promote NTT, especially Labuan Bajo, as one of the tourist attractions of Indonesia for foreign and domestic tourists, that is included in the 5 Super-Priority Tourism Destinations.
The 39 finalists of Puteri Indonesia 2020 representing 34 provinces are now in Jakarta to take part in the Press Conference of the Puteri Indonesia Pageant 2020 held at Solo Lounge, Lobby of the Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (26/2). The 39 finalists who are college students, doctors, models, pilots, employees, and business women from 34 provinces are ready to compete for 3 (three) Borobudur crowns presented by Hartono Wira Tanik (HWT).

The Head Advisor of Puteri Indonesia Foundation, Putri Kus Wisnu Wardani, said that “Through the event of Puteri Indonesia Pageant 2020, it is expected to be able to foster love among young women of Indonesia for the potential of cultural richness and natural beauty of the homeland, especially in the field of tourism to strengthen the diversity of the nation for young generations. We want to encourage Indonesian young women to develop their potential through various creativity and potential,” Putri said during the press conference in Jakarta, (26/2).

This year, East Nusa Tenggara Province became the central theme of the Puteri Indonesia Pageant 2020 which was supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of East Nusa Tenggara Province. Puteri Indonesia is ready to promote Labuan Bajo as one of the super-priority tourism destinations for all Indonesian people and even the world.
Through this partnership, the Top 3 of Puteri Indonesia 2019 has created an opening video for the grand final night of the Puteri Indonesia Pageant 2020 in Labuan Bajo. On 23-24 February 2020, the 39 Finalists of Puteri Indonesia 2020 also had the opportunity to take part in the Familiarization Trip or famtrip to get to know the tourism potential in Labuan Bajo. This year, the Top 3 of Puteri Indonesia 2020 will also wear the national costume with the theme of East Nusa Tenggara in the prestigious international event, Miss Universe 2020, Miss International 2020, and Miss Supranational 2020.
During the quarantine, the 39 finalists of Puteri Indonesia 2020 will take part in a series of activities, including beauty class and product knowledge with Mustika Ratu, choreography, a briefing from Dr. Cri Puspa Dewi Motik Pramono, MSc, a briefing from Lazada, a briefing from Google Digital Marketing, a briefing on dress ethics and table manner, a briefing of motivation from Roy Darmawan, PPM and IPMI, a briefing from the National Narcotics Board (BNN) and Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), a briefing from the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM), a briefing from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, a briefing from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and a presentation of advocacy from the finalists.
The finalists will also attend a psychological test session by a psychologist, Poppy Amalya, that the parameters of the assessment in the Puteri Indonesia Pageant that is aspired are the figure of Puteri Indonesia who meets the 3B criteria, consisting of Brain (intelligence), Beauty (attractive appearance), and Behavior (good behavior). Amidst the busy quarantine schedule, the finalists will get pampered with relaxation and health care from Taman Sari Royal Heritage Spa. During the quarantine period, the finalists stayed and obtained the best service and comfort at the official partner hotel of the Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel Jakarta from February 26 – March 7, 2020.
The finalists will also demonstrate the fashions of domestic designers in the Indonesia Culture-Based Fashion Show in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Industry-Based Traditional Culture, followed by the National Costume Show and Art and Culture Night on 29 February 2020 at Gandaria City Mall, in which the finalists will show their skills and talents that represent the arts and culture of their respective regions. From this talent show, 3 nominees of Best Traditional Dressed Princess and 3 nominees of Best Talented Princess will be chosen.
The grand final night of the Puteri Indonesia Pageant 2020 will be held on Friday (06/3) at the Plenary Hall, Jakarta Convention Center, live broadcasted on SCTV, attended by Miss Universe 2019, Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa, Miss International 2019, Sireethorn Leearamwat from Thailand and Miss Supranational 2019 Anntonia Porsild from Thailand. Puteri Indonesia Foundation as the sole licensee of Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss Supranational in Indonesia has the right to invite Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss Supranational to attend the Puteri Indonesia Pageant.
